The Wood
The wood is the star attraction at Puzzlewood. A walk along winding pathways will amaze you.
Julian Rix, the The Guardian travel correspondent wrote of Puzzlewood, "all the magic of the Forest of Dean has been concentrated into a 14-acre corner".
This is how the Forest looked thousands of years ago.
- To keep you entertained there are a number of things to look out for including lookouts, bridges, dead ends and of course the way out!
The Animals
The land surrounding Puzzlewood is a working farm, with Highland cattle, minature Shetland ponies, donkeys, Soay sheep, pygmy goats and wild fowl.
Indoor maze
The children and young at heart can explore the indoor maze, and try to find the 6 hidden animal symbols.
Cafe and Gift shop
Serving a selection of hearty snacks, including hot and cold drinks, ice creams, paninis and cakes. There is indoor seating and plenty of picnic benches.
Playground
The Playground is a great place for the kids to let off a little steam, whilst the adults relax.
Facilities
We have a large free car park and toilets on site.
The wood contains uneven steps and is therefore not suitable for pushchairs or the less physically able.
