School trips to Puzzlewood in the Forest of Dean

Gulley

Puzzlewood is an excellent destination for school outings. Not only is it a fun and physically active place. It can also be tied in to many areas of Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 curriculum.

We can assist in setting out a discovery path, with clues linked into your particular area of study, to make the day enjoyable and educational.

If you are a teacher considering bringing a school party to Puzzlewood, contact us to arrange a free preview visit without obligation.

School parties will need to be split into groups of approximately 10, each group must be accompanied into the wood by an adult. We will be happy to give each group a short introductory talk on the history of the wood and its origins.

After the visit to the wood the children are free to meet the animals, explore the indoor maze, let off steam in the outdoor playground or buy refreshments and suitably priced souvenirs from our café/shop.

Outdoor picnic tables are available.

Booking is essential to ensure that we can help you make the most of your visit.
